2017 GUIDE Time to put a little spring in your step, not to mention your cookpot, with a farmers market visit as vendors across North Texas gear up to bring you their best. Farmers bring beets, greens, cabbage, squash, cauliflower, early onions, even strawberries and eye-popping orange-yolked eggs, while artisans supply a kaleidoscope of sweets, baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles and more. And don’t forget pastured beef and chicken from the ranchers. This year, look for these changes: Good Local Market expands into Oak Cliff while getting a new name for its White Rock outpost. The Crescent Court seems poised to overachieve — in the best way. Firewheel Town Center gets a new market, the Frisco Fresh Market is on the horizon, and even Forney’s jumping into the game. It’s the perfect time to meet the people who sow the fields, milk the cows and goats, make the cheese and bake the baklava and gluten-free goodies. Did we miss your favorite market?
