House of the Rising Fun

You're always welcome at the MGA's . . .

Things are swinging at the new clubhouse at MGA Links at Mamantapett in Norton.

House of the Rising Fun!

AFTER YEARS OF PLANNING AND months of winter construction, the newly-built clubhouse at the 18-hole, par 3 MGA Links in Norton recently opened its doors. Equipped with a pro shop, office space, a multi-purpose function room that seats about 85 people and a spacious deck accommodating another 50, the clubhouse is inviting to both regular customers and outings. The facility – which the MGA bought in 2003 – is also the home of The First Tee of Massachusetts. Please drop in for a round and a look around some time soon.

Join The Rising Fun This Summer

THE FIRST TEE OF MASSACHUSETTS is dedicated to promoting and preserving the integrity and values of the game of golf in the Commonwealth. It aims to align itself with youth agencies and entities for the purpose of introducing children to the game of golf and its inherent values in an affordable and accessible manner.

The home base of The First Tee of Massachusetts is MGA Links in Norton. Satellite facilities are currently open in Springfield at Fenway Golf Range, in Lynnfield at Reedy Meadow Golf Course and on Cape Cod at Hyannis Golf Club. Each year, more than 2,000 youth from 35 different Bay State communities participate in The First Tee curriculum at these sites.

The Life Skills curriculum is based on nine core values: honesty, integrity, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, sportsmanship, judgment, respect and courtesy. Proven to be successful nationwide, the Life Skills curriculum helps participants become comfortable introducing themselves to others, meeting new people, learning something new, setting goals and dealing with conflict. In other words, the life skills learned are useful for the participants both on and off the golf course. We hope to see you this summer!
