After leaving my residency, the PCSO was my primary source for excellent continuing edu-cation. It provided a forum to become reconnect-ed with old friends, to make many new friends and acquaintances, and to meet dedicated, talented future leaders and role models in ortho-dontics in some of the most beautiful locations in the country. I enjoyed serving as the program co-chair for Northern California and as the Nevada represen-tative to the PCSO board many years ago. JP: Do you have any advice for new members? JG: Don’t wait to be asked; the PCSO leadership is always excited and happy to welcome new ideas and any member who is willing to become in-volved at any level. The personal growth, satisfac-tion, and enduring friendships will last a lifetime. I cannot imagine practicing orthodontics without the support of the PCSO and AAO. JP: Do you have any final thoughts? JG: You know you have lived life well if you can look back and say, “My only regret is that I can’t do it all over again.” —Anonymous 30 PCSO Bulletin Summer 2021
